Welcome to Terry's Train Trax.
Just in case you didn't guess, I Like Trains, therefore these pages will be mainly to do with Clubs for trains in New Zealand. I will be providing you with information about other clubs as well as
Links
to other train pages.
Rotorua is situated about 2 1/2 hours drive south of Auckland. We are well known for our volcanic activity including geysers and mud pools as well as some of the best trout fishing in the world. Rotorua also caters quite well for the train enthusiasts. There is the Rotorua Model Railway Club Inc which caters for the hobbiests of all ages, with layouts from N gauge to On30 gauge at their Clubrooms, the Rotorua - Ngongotaha Rail Trust who are working on re-establishing LIVE steam trains back into Rotorua and who also manage the Ngongotaha Railway Park, the Rotorua Model Engineers who meet at Te Amorangi Museum, Holdens Bay as well as the Railway Enthusiasts Group. I am 50+ years old, married with a son and daughter. I am employed as a Computer Technician/Teacher and I use these pages to learn more about the Internet and to help support my hobby of trains.
I model trains in American On30 with a small layout at home controled with DCC (Digitrax).
